Herb and his wife, Dianne have two grown married daughters and are the proud grand-parents of three grand-children. They are active members in their church and have given generously of their time over the years to volunteer work in compassionate ministries. Herb's career was that of a teacher, beginning in Saskatchewan and then serving with the Calgary Board of Education as teacher and Principal until his retirement in 1997. After reading 'The Church of Irresistible Influence' and talking with Marg about building 'Bridges of Love', he was deeply moved by the concept of reaching out into the community in answer to the Great Commission and Great Commandment.
Marg became a follower of Christ over 30 years ago, through the outreach efforts of a church in Toronto. She has worked in the medical field as a Laboratory Technologist, owned and operated a Bed & Breakfast Retreat, served as a church administrator, and worked for a compassionate agency. Her involvement in each of these endeavours prepared her for this God ordained quest, building Bridges of Love. As well as Founding Director Executive of this ministry, Marg is the coordinator of the Faith Emergency Preparedness Initiative Advisory Council. She appreciates her volunteer activities, participating on the Board of the Calgary NE Electoral District, volunteering with the Mustard Seed and Billy Graham TV/TM. Marg and her husband, Tom, of 41 years have 3 grown children - Trevor/Rachelle, Mark and Lindsay/Patrick and are very proud grandparents of Hannah, brother Jaxson and Lindsay and Patrick's new little one, Aliyah. Tom Pollon is employed in sales with a large Christian owned company that provides a wide range of products and services to assist churches, ministries and companies communicate more effectively. For many years, Tom has supported ministry opportunities both within and outside his home church. Tom's ministry focus is to support those groups who's ministry objectives dove-tail with the Great Commandment. We need to love God and our neighbour before we can "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations". Tom is proud to support Marg as together they build Bridges of Love.
